Boss Pedal Mods

All of our Boss pedal mods are available as a DIY kit too!

Boss DS-1 'Big Bacon' Mod

The Boss DS-1 is a great modification platform. I decided to offer my mod both as a service or as DIY kit, so you have the choice to send your pedal in or to perform the mod yourself.

Included in the mod:

- Tone Stack mod: Brings the mids up to let the guitar cut better through the mix.

- Clipping mod: Two clipping modes (LED / silicon and LED / LED+Silicon)

- Fancy bright orange LED

- Overall the pedal will sound fatter and less shrill, but with somewhat less gain due to the LED clipping.

Rates (pedal not included !!!):

- DIY kit with instructions: €20,00

- Mod Service: €55,00

Boss SD-1 'Double Cheese' Mod

The Boss SD-1 is a fun classic overdrive, but with some mods you can easily take it to the next level. The 'Double Cheese' mod is for everyone who likes the character of the SD-1 SuperOverDrive, but wants a little more.

Included in the mod:
- Clipping diodes and low boost switches
- More volume and clarity
- Blue LED

Rates (pedal not included !!!):

- DIY kit with instructions: €25,00

- Mod Service: €65,00

The SD-1 is also known to bleed through in the clean signal when the pedal is off. I offer a mod to fix this problem:

- Bleed mod (only as a service): €30,00

- Full mod Service (Double Cheese + Bleed mod): €75,00

Boss MT-2 'Metal Stone' Mod

Many people don't know how to use the MT-2 and don't like the tone. It actually sounds better as a preamp pedal than as a standalone distortion pedal.

This mod takes away a little of the Metal Zone's harshness, fattens up the mids and softens the clipping a little. The pedal now goes from almost clean to hot rodded blues to fat chunky distortion AND you can use it like any regular distortion pedal instead of a preamp style pedal. The assymetrical clipping adds up for a more organic tone.

Included in the mod:

- Extra soft clipping stage added + assymetrical hard clipping

- Fatter, more stonerrock oriented tone

- Less scooped, better mid control

Rates (pedal not included !!!):

- DIY kit with instructions: €17,50

- Mod Service: €50,00

Boss AW-2 'Chunky Funky' Mod

You want your AW-2 to sound a little fatter? Check out this mod!

Lower 'quack frequency', larger sweep, more control, fatter on both bass or guitar. We also added a switch to change the envelope filter direction.

This mod involves changing out a few parts AND some trace cutting on the PCB, so it's a little harder to perform. However, detailed instructions are included.

Included in the mod:

- Up/Down switch for different envelope filter direction

- Fatter sweep

- White LED

Rates (pedal not included !!!):

- DIY kit with instructions: €20,00

- Mod Service: €55,00
